Cheer and Dance PhotographyI have been photographing cheer and dance with Comm23 and AASCF since 2018. The competitions are high energy, a lot of fun, and a photographic challenge. MelbourneSportsPhotographer2 There are a lot of participants, lots of action, and lots and lots of routines. This year I am shooting AASCF Winterfest, Battle, State Champs in NSW, VIC and WA, and Spring Carnival. At each event there are hundreds of routines and thousands of participants. Routines last two and a half minutes and generally we will shoot between 150 and 300 images per routine. Multiply that by 15 routines per hour and 12+ hour days and the camera equipment gets a very good work out! MelbourneSportsPhotographer The AASCF events are always enjoyable and it's great to see the participants enjoying the exercise and the social connection of the events. MelbourneSportsPhotographer3 This week's event - the AASCF Western Australia State Champs - was great fun and flows onto the Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria events over the next 3 weeks.
